What kind of love on the Pope's last day?

The Pope has probably seen his last daylight, and all evening the screen has been full of film clips and sound bites of people praying for him. At least that's what they call it. All praying for him to get well and stay here with them. Sounds to me more like they're praying for themselves. Don't you love this man? Hasn't he done enough for you? Can't you pray for an easy passing for him, and a happy awakening in a better place? I'm no Christian, and on most things I'm pretty much the mirror image, the direct opposite, of everything he believes in. But I've always respected him because he's lived his beliefs. And I think he deserves better than all these people asking him for more.

As a Christian-prayers for the Pope's recovery?Staying in a worn out body on earth or being in heaven with Jesus? We don't mourn when someone dies it's said"they went home.No disrespect to Catholics-there is nothing"mystical"about Communion.Jesus at the last supper said to his disciples as He broke the bread and shared the wine"said do this in rememberance of me."He was going to the cross[the ultimate sacrifice-to die for the sins of mankind]even with knowledge of the resurrection,He was in an earthly body and would endure much pain and suffering. His fervant prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane he was afraid.Baptism is by total immersion. A Christian is baptized when they have full understanding[are making a public declaration] they have died to self(going under the water)and embrace a new life in Christ(coming out of the water). Jesus was baptized as an adult.Jesus went to John the Baptist--John[puzzled]said"you should be baptizing me". Jesus came out of the water the Bible says"Immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him;and a voice came out of the heavens:"You are My beloved Son,in You I am well-pleased." Mark 1:10-11.As to "confession"the Bible says: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.I John 1:9A [Christian] expression "its under the blood"means we have been forgiven because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. We now have a "personal" relationship with God and can ask directly for forgiveness. There is no need to do "penance" as the penalty was already paid. There is nothing we can do to "earn" our salvation. Off my soapbox. Francisco Franco is still dead and now so is the Pope.
